A List of TSC Teachers Who Have Stallled and Are Expecting Promotions.
A list of TSC teachers who have stagnated and are slated for promotions. The TSC is facing a number of demands from the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers.
Promotions are the subject of the demands. Over a thousand teachers who have been stuck in the same work groups have been petitioned by the union to be promoted by TSC. These educators have spent more than a decade in a single job category.
Akello Misori, secretary general of KUPPET, has emphasized that these instructors must receive automatic promotions in the future promotions.
The secretary general expressed his displeasure with these instructors’ promotions. Although these teachers have been attending promotions, he confirmed that they have never received a promotion. Despite their adherence to the career development guidelines (CPG), this still occurs.
He clarified further, saying that a number of these professors had attempted two or three unsuccessful interviews. Teachers on this list were once employed by job group M, which is now known as C5. Teachers in job group C3, formerly known as job group L, are also included on the list.

While they were on a five-day retreat in Naivasha, the secretary general of KUPPET expressed these thoughts. The technical crew and TSC representatives were with them.
TSC requested that this meeting be held. This came in response to several queries from KUPPET about the promotion list that was made public during the previous year’s promotion process. Many doubts were raised about the promotion list about the exclusion of some deserving professors from promotions.
During her speech, Misori openly questioned the promotion list. After TSC examined the promotion list, they discovered that 14 of the promoted teachers were deceased.
Misori went on to say that many curriculum support officers—who are technically not teachers—had been elevated on the promotion list.
Several TSC secretariat employees who benefited from the promotions are also listed. Even though the promotions were only intended for teachers, this still occurs.
A list of one thousand teachers who had remained in the same work group for more than ten years was presented by the union. The union requested that these instructors receive promotions right now. You can view the list of these educators on the TSC website.
In the meeting, the union argued for abolition of CPG and fair advancement of all teachers.
