President William Ruto discussed this matter with representatives from the Laikipia and Kajiado regions during a private meeting.
Mike Gitonga, the Secretary of State Functions, emphasized the importance of starting educational programs by quoting President Ruto’s directive.
Reopening schools on Monday is in line with the Kenya Meteorological Department’s advisories, which indicate that rainfall intensity will begin to decline later this week.
A number of government organizations, including the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF), are working together to accelerate the repair and building of damaged infrastructure in schools
The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) are also actively participating in nationwide flood mitigation initiatives, which strengthen the government’s response to the catastrophe.
