Government Starts Utilizing 2,000 Recruited TVET Teachers.
Two thousand Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET) trainers have been sent by the government to different universities around the nation.
The hiring of trainers is anticipated to handle rising TVET enrollment, according to North Rift TVETs Regional Director Mickel Rugut, who made this announcement on Monday, May 6, at the celebration of TVETS’ 100th anniversary at Uasin Gishu County offices.
He gave President William Ruto, who was then the Minister of Education, credit for organizing the fervent campaigns that led to the sharp increase in enrollment.
He stated that the President’s tenure as Minister of Education laid the groundwork for the current success in witnessing high student enrollment in TVETS.
The department has advanced significantly under his direction. For this reason, more trainers and skill development evaluators are needed.
