Govt Declares All Public Employees Must Complete Mandatory Customer Service Training.
Felix Koskei, Head of Public Service, has declared that all public employees would need to complete mandatory customer service training.
Speaking at the Kenya School of Government (KSG), Koskei stated that the goal of this program is to introduce an excellence and accountability culture into public service delivery.
Koskei pointed out that the training will boost productivity and enhance service delivery in government agencies, emphasizing how Huduma Centers around the nation provide their clients with the greatest services available in comparison to other government agencies.
He declared, “Every institution and ministry must make sure that this training is being received by their staff in order to guarantee that all public servants receive the Huduma Kenya standardized service.”
Moses Kuria, the cabinet secretary for public services, who was also present, noted that this collaboration will spread the Huduma “DNA” to other public service sectors.
“As Huduma is performing well with standardized customer service, this collaboration will take the Huduma service DNA into the rest of the public service,” he stated.
He continued, “It is time we extend that to the rest of the Government.”
Charles Nyachae, the chairperson of the KSG, described this training as a means of dismantling obstacles in order to improve better public service by revolutionizing service delivery.
