How to Use the KUCCPS Portal to Apply for a Inter-University Course Transfer.
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service website opened on Wednesday, and the application materials for Inter-Institutional Transfer are now accessible there.
The Inter-Institutional Transfer deadline is July 4th, according to KUCCPS.
The intended audience for this process is applicants who would like to transfer institutions but were placed in colleges and universities during the 2024–2025 placement cycle.
A course change is also allowed by IIT, if the individual satisfies the required cut-off points and receives consent from the receiving university.
The student portal, students.kuccps.net, is where the student must initially log in before submitting an inter-institutional transfer application.
Choose the “Transfer Application” tab from the dashboard after successfully logging into the portal.
Enter the code for the course and school you wish to transfer to.
Choose the justification for your move request.
Complete the Sh1,000 payment by following the provided payment instructions. (Refer to the payment procedure provided below.)
Apply for a transfer by utilizing the provided eCitizen Payment Reference Code.
Students can check the status of their transfer application through the Student’s Portal, according to KUCCPS.
“Both the receiving and releasing institutions are required to endorse your application and you can monitor this through the portal,” explained KUCCPS.
“If the receiving institution declines to endorse the transfer application, you will be notified through the portal and advised to try a different programme in either the same institution or a different one.”
The process will be managed by KUCCPS after the endorsements.
When the KUCCPS approves the students’ transfer request, they will download and print the transfer letter. Subsequently, they will dispatch a single copy of the letter to the new school, enabling them to furnish the admission letter and other joining instructions.
IIT Payment Procedure
When you click the Submit button, an online application form will popup with a “Click Here to Pay” link. (If you have already paid, please enter the Payment Reference Code that eCitizen generated.)
After clicking the link, you will be directed to a page containing eCitizen payment details.

The needed amount, the business number (222222), and the payment reference code can all be seen by clicking the relevant button to display the M-PESA payment details.
Pay using the specified guidelines by utilizing the M-Pesa Menu on your phone. Once your M-PESA PIN has been entered, send.
Enter the eCitizen Payment Reference Code in the allotted slot and click “Submit” once payment has been made. (It’s advisable that you keep the reference code handy because you’ll need it for any application modifications.)
The M-PESA transaction code should not be used, according to KUCCPS.
In order to complete the submission, students need to provide their password. To access the KUCCPS Student’s Portal, enter the password.
