KUCCPS Announces Inter-Institutional Transfer Application Deadline: How to Apply.
The Kenya University and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened its site for inter-institution transfer, allowing students enrolled in the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) to transfer to a different institution of their choice.
The placement service portal is where applicants should submit their applications if they want to switch or transfer schools.
In its release, KUCCPS said that if applicants meet the relevant cut-off marks, the process will also permit course changes.
The portal will close on July 4 after applicants have 30 days to make the modifications they would like.
The applicant must have been enrolled in the program from which they are requesting a transfer in order to be eligible for one.
How to Apply
The applicant will be required to log in to the KUCCPS portal https://t.co/GgsBhEJQ1b
Once on the portal, the applicant will be prompted to enter KCSE Index Number, KCSE Year and Password.
Students have been advised to use the Birth Certificate or KCPE Number (as used in KCSE Exam Registration) as the initial password.
After logging into the portal, the applicant can proceed to select their preferred institutions but must meet the cut-off points.
The announcement by KUCCPS comes a day after the National Assembly Education committee directed the Ministry of Education to withdraw all university admission letters.
The directive to recall the already-issued admission letters after alleged anomalies in the fees students are required to pay.
In the admission letters, the Ministry of Education allegedly imposed an entire amount of school fees on students regardless of the classification of the students using the new funding model.
