Meanwhile, 17,172 students will enroll in the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) across its 71 sites around the country.
According to Dr. Wahome, of the applications that the placement board received from students who met the minimal university entrance grade of C+, 76.2% chose degree programs and the remaining percentage chose diplomas.
“Male applicants continued to dominate placement to degree programs, continuing a trend that has been observed since the beginning of the central placement system,” the speaker said. “Bachelor of Education attracted the highest number of applicants.”
On the other hand, since 2020, most students placed in TVET institutes have been female.
