KUCCPS opens a transfer portal between universities.
Application materials for Inter-Institutional Transfer are now available on the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service website, which opened on Wednesday.
According to KUCCPS, July 4 is the deadline for the Inter-Institutional Transfer.
Applicants who were placed in colleges and universities during the 2024–2025 placement cycle and would like to switch institutions are the target audience for this process.
If the candidate meets the necessary cut-off points, IIT also permits a course change, pending approval from the recipient university.
The student must first log in to students.kuccps.net, the student portal, in order to apply for an inter-institutional transfer.
After logging in to the portal successfully, select the “Transfer Application” tab from the dashboard.
Input the code of the program and institution you want to transfer to.
Decide on the reason you’re requesting the move.
Follow the given payment instructions to complete the Sh1,000 payment. (See the payment process listed below.)
Submit your transfer application by using the eCitizen Payment Reference Code that has been issued.
According to KUCCPS, students can use the Student’s Portal to track the status of their transfer application.
“Both the receiving and releasing institutions are required to endorse your application and you can monitor this through the portal,” stated KUCCPS.
“If the receiving institution declines to endorse the transfer application, you will be notified through the portal and advised to try a different programme in either the same institution or a different one.”
Following the endorsements, KUCCPS will handle the process.
The students will download and print the transfer letter after their transfer request has been approved by KUCCPS. They will then send one copy of the letter to the new school so that they may provide the admission letter and other joining instructions.
