KUCCPS opens KMTC application portal for September 2024 intake.
Applications for the September intake of the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service are now being accepted through the website.
June 21, 2024 is the deadline for applications.
According to KUCCPS, the application is intended for qualified KCSE holders who want to enroll in KMTC programs between 2014 and 2023.
“This includes those who applied previously but were not successful,” said KUCCPS. Applying requires going to the student portal via the KUCCPS website, www.kuccps.ac.ke, or the link students.kuccps.net.
After that, the student selects the Login tab and enters their password, KCSE year, and KCSE index number in the designated fields. The Placement Service stated, “Your password is your Birth Certificate Number or Your KCPE Index Number.”
After logging in, the student can examine offered courses and their prerequisites by clicking “KMTC Programmes.”
Candidates will only be eligible to apply for courses for which they fulfill the prerequisites.
For ease of reference, KUCCPS asked students to download the PDF document that included the specifics of the different programs.
“Once you have decided on your preferred courses, you will be required to enter the Programme Codes,” said KUCCPS.
Next, the student will select “Apply Now” from the “KMTC Application” option.
The programme codes will be entered by the student on the attached form.
According to KUCCPS, applicants should prioritize the program codes.
The Placement Service stated, “From your most preferred course (No. 1) to your least preferred course (No. 4).”
According to KUCCPS, the applicant should wait for the system to retrieve all program details before clicking submit after inputting the program codes for any course they might be interested in.
The application will cost Sh1,500 upon submission, and the payment details will be shown on the webpage.
Payment Method
According to KUCCPS, applicants who were not selected for KMTC funding should utilize their previous Payment Reference Code when reapplying instead of having to pay again.
When a first-time applicant clicks the Submit button on the online application form, a pop-up window containing a link to “Click Here to Pay” will appear.
“If you have already paid, enter the Payment Reference Code generated by eCitizen,” said KUCCPS.
After clicking the link, the applicant will be taken to a website with instructions for making an eCitizen payment.
After selecting their favorite payment option from the list of available options, they will pay as instructed.
“For M-PESA, click on the relevant button and the payment details will be displayed including Business Number (222222), a Payment Reference Code and the required amount,” said KUCCPS.
Students must pay using the M-Pesa Menu on their phone by following the guidelines given.
After making a payment, the applicant will return to the application window and submit their application using the eCitizen Payment Reference Code.
The MPESA transaction code should not be used, according to KUCCPS.
“The same Ref. Code will be required for any subsequent changes to your application; hence, you are advised to retain it,” said KUCCPS.
The application will be marked as successful by the system with a notification once the applicant has successfully paid and submitted.
The applicant will see their successfully submitted application on the Dashboard.
