KUCCPS reopens portal for final revision of courses.
The final course choice revision will take place through the reopening of the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) portal.
This acts as a second revision as well, aimed at applicants who have not yet been accepted into a course or submitted their course choices.
The EPA states in a notice that the gateway will remain accessible until April 25, 2024.
Applications for available positions in TVET, universities, and Kenya Medical Training Colleges (KMTC) are now being accepted again.
It states that applicants do not need to log in if they have already secured a course.
“… should instead hold off until placement results are announced, following the processing of all applications.”
Opening on March 18 and closing on April 4, the first modification was completed.
It enabled students to submit their applications even if they had not applied for any courses.
Those who were not accepted into any courses also had the option to reapply.
This year, the first application period was held in February and March, during which time candidates for 2023 who received a score higher than C+ may submit their applications.
Additionally, any Form Four graduate who has never attended a postsecondary school and has any KCSE mean grade between 2000 and 2023 is eligible to apply for a TVET course.
The Universities Act No. 42 of 2012 established KUCCPS.
Its purpose was to organize the enrollment of government-sponsored students in Kenyan colleges and universities.
Among other things, it creates and administers career counseling programs, distributes information about programs that are offered, and gathers and saves data about college and university placement.
After the Joint Admission Board (JAB), which was in charge of matching understudies with universities, was dissolved, the institution was created.
