Ministry of Education has revised the half-term dates in its latest directive.
The dates of the June 20–23 half term have been rescheduled by the Ministry of Education to June 26–28.
This comes after May’s nationwide flooding that caused chaos with school starting schedules.
On June 30, 2024, boarding school students are scheduled to return to class.
Schedule modifications and planned activities may be necessary as a result of the change. Education PS Belio Kipsang sent a May 24 circular to County Directors of Education, instructing them to distribute its contents to all Head Teachers and Principals of schools under their control.
The second term’s scheduled reopening date of April 29 was pushed back to May 13, 2024.
