New Guidelines for Class Hours Are Released by the Government Before Schools Reopen.
Guidelines for the New Class Hours Considering The Principal Secretary of Education, Govt. Belio Kipsang, has ordered schools to follow the academic schedules that were previously established by the Ministry. This is in addition to the prolonged closure that the water necessitated.
Rather, Kipsang instructed school officials to come up with a strategy to make up for the time lost when classes didn’t resume until a later hour.
The Ministry has also instructed schools to modify their class schedules in the event that the nation’s continuous, intense rains have an impact on education.
But when it comes to school transportation, schools have been told to follow the 6 am to 6 pm rules.
Following Cabinet Secretary for Education Ezekiel Machogu’s announcement that the government will think about extending the second term because to the prolonged closure, the PS issued its most recent instruction.

He had hinted that in order to align with the syllabus’s coverage, the administration should think about reducing the August holiday by a few days. About two weeks ago, the protracted school closures began. Machogu said on Thursday, “We’re going to investigate it, especially with regard to Form Four students, and see if we can salvage the situation by giving ourselves a little extra time.”
However, it was then disclosed that the most recent modifications were implemented at the request of education stakeholders, who pointed out that shortening the semester by two holiday weeks would interfere with the August music festivals.
Monday, May 13, marks the return of schools after they were forced to close due to flooding. Following six weeks of instruction, students will have a half-term holiday from June 20 to June 23.
On August 5, students will return for the second part of the second term. Three weeks are planned for the August break.
On Monday, August 26, schools around the nation will start their third term of instruction.
