Updated CBC Grade 8 Placement Tests, The government’s official spokesperson, the Ministry of Education, has addressed speculation that a new placement test for grade 8 kids presently enrolled in elementary schools would be created.
The ministry’s official sources have denied any direction to construct the Kenya Primary Placement Examination, which was rumored to offer a new way of student placement. They have dismissed these assertions.
The ministry refutes these untrue rumors and states that there are no plans to conduct such an examination before November of this year, reiterating that the current placement procedure would not alter.
Additionally, the false information mentioned above that was circulating stated that in 2025, Grade 9 students—who are presently enrolled in a competency-based curriculum—might be transferred to secondary school.
This is following the purportedly new placement test for eighth-grade pupils, as per the bogus reports.
Furthermore, the report misrepresented that teachers from junior secondary schools, who are now working in elementary schools, would be moved to high schools to accommodate students in grades 9 through 12.
In an effort to stop more disruption, the false information also included a survey that was suggested to address curricular issues in secondary schools and universities immediately.

Additionally, the source suggested that in order to ease the transition, a network of schools, comprising national, extra-county, and county schools, might be established.
The administration is still working to solve the shift to junior secondary schools when this fake report that is raising a lot of alarm surfaces.
Following the release of the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) results for 2023 by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), the pupils proceeded to junior secondary school in this year, 2024.
School leaders and parents can now easily check all KPSEA results online thanks to KNEC.
During the results announcement, the examination council asked all principals and head teachers to ensure that all of their students were registered for the 2024 KPSEA assessment by March 29, 2024, the deadline.
