Retirement Benefits will be missed by Teachers Over 4,000 teachers are not correctly registered with the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), according to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), and they are unlikely to get benefits until they enroll.
The affected teachers’ employer has asked that they register at the closest NSSF office, provide their new number to the appropriate county directors offices around the nation, and attend.
The teachers are notified that TSC headquarters will get such documents so they can be added to the payroll.
In order to ensure that their records are appropriately documented, the TSC is also asking teachers who have recently enlisted with NSSF but whose records have not yet been updated to send the cards and their NSSF statements to the Commission.
The Commission claims that funds from educators who failed to comply with the registration criteria are kept in NSSF suspense accounts.
Teachers should not miss Benefits of Retirement

A memo from one of the directors to the teachers stated, “Upon registration, please provide your NSSF number to your respective TSC Sub County Director for transmission to TSC Headquarters.”

Teachers have until June 21, 2024, to comply with the order, according to various memoranda received by schoolupdates.co.ke that were supplied by county directors to advise teachers on this subject.
It is therefore necessary for all teachers to attend the closest NSSF office in order to register.
