TSC 2024 Updated Teacher Salary Scales in Accordance to the 2021–2025 CBA
The 2024 TSC Teacher Salary Scales have been updated to align with the 2021–2025 CBA. The 2021–2025 Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) contain significant changes to the pay scales for teachers, according to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Teachers will be able to keep utilizing their current increment data as they make the transition to the new scales during the two phases of implementation starting on July 1, 2023.
The TSC circular stated that yearly pay hikes will persist in compliance with the 2015 Code of Regulations for Teachers.
The classifications, grading system, and housing allowance amount have all undergone extensive examination.
Principal elementary teachers are included in the job titles and scales that are covered by the newly established TSC grading system.
There is a distinct T-scale for each grade, and there are presently four geographic divisions for Housing Benefit rates.
For the new pay scales, which include Principals, Senior Principals, Principals, Deputy Principals, Senior Masters, Senior Lecturers, and others, the circular offers comprehensive conversion tables.
Following the signing of an addendum to the 2021–2025 CBA by the Teaching Service Commission and several teachers’ unions, this announcement was made on August 28, 2023.
The TSC is unwavering in its focus on the necessity of adhering to the new pay structures and the prerequisites for admission and career advancement.
This rise has had a substantial positive impact on Kenyan teachers’ professional growth and salary.
