TSC Current Pay and Monthly Salary for Brand New Teachers.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) hired teachers have their current salary structured according to teaching levels, as clearly outlined in the 2021-2025 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
As a result, below is the new salary scales for different grades, and their respective allowances.
All the new Primary School Teachers:

As per to the TSC jon groups,teachers under Grade B5 are the ones at the entry level for primary school teachers.
As per to the TSC salary structure,their monthly earnings ranges from Sh21,756 to Sh27,195.
On the other hand , the teachers promoted to Grade C1 grade can expect a salary between Sh27,195 minimum and Sh33,994.l maximum.
The TSC Secondary School Teachers:

Also note that secondary school teachers, Serving in Grade C2 who are Bachelor’s degree holders in education earn between mnm Sh34,955 and mxm Sh43,694 per monthly.
Equally, the Senior teachers serving under Grade C3 have a salary range of minimum Sh43,154 to maximum Sh53,940.
Teachers on Higher Positions:

Grade D5 are for the Chief principals who the highest earners, whose monthly salary ranges from minimum Sh131,380 to maximum Sh157,656 .
On the other hand those in Grade D4 earn between minimum Sh118,242 and maximum Sh141,891 per month.

Note that a part from the above salary, there are other salary ranges for other grades which include;
- Grade C4: minimum Sh52,308 to maximum Sh65,385
- Grade C5: minimum Sh62,272 to maximum Sh77,840
- Grade D1: minimum Sh77,840 to maximum Sh93,408
- Grade D2: minimum Sh91,041 to maximum Sh109,249
- Grade D3: minimum Sh104,644 to maximum Sh125,573.

In addition to the above salary figures , there are also various allowances paid to these teachers which includes ;
- house allowance
- leave allowance
- commuter allowance
- hardship allowances and others.
Note also that the amount of allowances paid to the teachers depends on factors such as teacher’s workstation, the current job grade, the teacher responsibilities as well as type of learners they handle.
