Requirements for Diploma in Education
– A minimum grade of C+ in KCSE.
– At least C+ in two subjects of specialization or training.
– Minimum of C plain in English.
– At least a C plain in Mathematics for science-based courses.
– At least a D+ in Mathematics for non-science-based units.
Requirements for Diploma in Education (Visually and Hearing Impaired)
– Minimum grade of C plain in KCSE.
– At least C- in English.

TSC Minimum Bachelor of Education Requirements
The TSC has set the following minimum requirements for secondary school teachers:
– Minimum mean grade of C+ or its equivalent in KCSE.
– C+ in two subjects of training.
For those pursuing a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science, the requirements are:
– A minimum grade of C+ in KCSE.
– Minimum of C+ in two subjects of specialization.
– At least a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) for those transitioning into teaching roles.
