TSC Releases New Rates for Teachers’ Leave Allowance.
Every year by the end of January, teachers working for the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) are paid their yearly leave allowance rates.
Teachers receive this stipend, which is computed based on their job categories and entails additional salary, once a year from their employer, TSC.
One perk that teachers enjoy is an annual leave of absence, which also includes a thirty-day break during school breaks.
Regardless of their terms of service, all teachers employed by the Commission are entitled to a maximum of thirty days of paid annual leave, during which they will receive full compensation for the calendar year in which they worked.
According to the commission, TSC, yearly leave cannot be carried over from one year to the next and must be taken during school breaks.
The Twenty Seventh Schedule of the TSC Code of Regulations for Teachers states that all teachers may apply online for yearly leave, but only during school breaks (CORT).
The TSC has moved the leave application and approval process online and automated it starting of December 1, 2021.
It is now mandatory for all TSC-paid educators, including interns, to submit leave requests using the online platform.
The second teacher offers the following main forms of leave via an online platform: Study Leave, Sick Leave, Annual Leave, Compassionate Leave, and Paternity Leave.
Special Leave is one of the other leaves. Leave for Adoption and Spouse of Diplomat.
Below are the updated TSC annual Leave Allowance rates for teachers as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) covering the period from 2021 to 2025, as specified in Circular 14/2021.
