TSC Salary Estimated for the Third Batch of P1 Teachers to Be Sent to JSS in July 2024.
TSC payment to teachers who are deployed, In July 2024, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) will start placing its third batch of qualified PTE (P1) teachers in junior high school classrooms.
Successful instructors will have their documents verified by their Sub-County Directors and be assigned to a classroom as soon as the new term starts.
The documents that the teachers provide to the headquarters will be carefully examined in order to ensure that only certified teachers with legitimate documentation are posted.
TSC acknowledged that junior secondary schools are experiencing a serious teacher shortage; as a result, deployment is intended to provide some relief.
TSC CEO remarks
The Chief Executive Nancy Macharia states that while there are now 56,928 teachers in junior schools, 99,045 are needed.
TSC consequently released an advertisement for 6,000 deployment seats, requesting that primary school teachers with a secondary education degree apply online by no later than March 18, 2024.
Following their successful selection, teacher candidates must provide a number of documents for verification.
These documents must include an original degree or diploma certificate, all original academic transcripts, and an original copy of their SNE qualification, if applicable.
A clear copy of the most recent payslip, the original and a copy of the KCSE certificate (or its equivalent), and a statement from the head of the institution attesting to the teacher’s employment there are also necessary.
It should be mentioned in the letter that the teacher is not subject to disciplinary action or serving an interdiction.
The third cohort of P1 teachers will report in May 2024 when classes resume for the second semester, as the first and second cohorts have already been deployed and posted in various locations.
TSC payment for deployed teachers
The P1 teachers who have been deployed are eligible to begin instructing students in Grades 7 and 8, who are enrolled in the junior secondary school run by CBC.
Sub County Directors and Primary Headteachers were instructed by TSC CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia to ensure the teachers’ prompt discharge and receipt in order to receive remuneration for their deployment.
TSC states that County Directors are supposed to start posting as soon as the teachers are assigned to JSS.
However, Heads of Institution (HOI) are allowing professors to leave them right away by submitting Exit Reports.
The receiving Head of Institution will thereafter be able to submit the Entry Report.
TSC states that the Posting, Entry/Exit Reports Module must be used to complete all of the aforementioned reports online. This is a result of the Commission’s continued non-recognition and processing of hard copy casualties.
