TSC sends out 6000 letters of deployment to JSS for P1 teachers.
The deployment of P1 teachers to JSS. For the third batch of qualified PTE (P1 teachers), the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) plans to distribute deployment letters to junior school JSS starting in January 2025.
TSC states that 6000 teachers will receive posting letters to schools following a comprehensive evaluation of the documents by Sub-County Directors.
To ensure that only certified teachers with valid documentation are submitted, TSC headquarters will also have time to examine the submissions.
In January of this year, TSC expressed serious worries regarding the teacher shortage issues facing junior secondary schools.
In contrast to the 56,928 teachers now hired, schools require around 99,045 instructors, according to Dr. Nancy Macharia, the CEO of TSC.
In order to solve the shortage, the employer posted 6,000 deployment spots for primary school teachers with degrees who wanted to transfer to secondary school.
Deployment of P1 Teachers to JSS
According to the call for applications, eligible candidates had to apply in person at TSC sub-county offices.
According to the commission, all of the successful teachers will begin receiving their posting letters so they can start working in the junior secondary school sector in the first term of 2025.
Teachers who are competent to teach in secondary schools are the primary school teachers who applied to be assigned to JSS.
As the new term starts, these instructors will receive their deployment letters sooner.
According to the commission, all Sub County Directors working with Primary Headteachers are expected to release and receive the teachers right away in order to expedite their salaries for those who will be deployed.
Additionally, TSC requested that all County Directors start posting letters.
Additionally, the Sub-County’s Entry or Exit Reports Module needs to be made available right away.
Together with the TSC Sub-County Director, P1 teachers will thereafter be deployed to junior secondary JSS or letters will be posted.
According to the commission, the teacher admission and exit process for deployed teachers must be carried out electronically.
This is because hard copy casualties are no longer recognized by TSC.
