Teachers at TSC lose their new salary. While some people have nothing to complain about following the first TSC and union salary phase, not everyone is pleased with the new Payrise.
Some teachers in some groups smiled widely when they paid in their new monthly salary, which they obtained as a consequence of signing a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
The first section of the Teachers Wage Hike CBA was signed by the Kenya National Unions of Teachers (KNUT) and Teachers Service Commission (TSC), the teachers’ employer.
Among the other parties to the significant agreement are the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) and the Kenya Union of Special Needs Education Teachers (KUSNET).
TSC instructors no longer receive raises
After the new salary appraisal under the CBA, five teacher pay grades (C4, C5, D4, and D5) were declared losers since they did not receive pay increases.
Instructors in C4 and C5 continued to be paid SH 52, 308 and SH 62, 272, respectively.
Individuals in grades D4 and D5, respectively, continue to earn sh114, 242 and sh131, 380 in income.
The winners of the ongoing phase 1 are the teachers in grade D1, who will also receive an additional salary raise of sh785.
Apart from their salary, which ranges from sh21, 756 to sh23, 830, grade B5 employees also get a minimum pay boost of sh2, 074.
Teachers in grade C1 get paid SH 2,592 more. In addition to their increased revenue of Sh29, 797 from Sh27, 195
Additionally, work group C2 teachers receive a wage increase of sh3, 331; this results in a compensation increase from sh34, 995 to sh38, 286.
When D1 instructors, on the other hand, receive sh785 more, their meanings shift from sh77, 840 to sh78, 625.
TSC instructors in D2 are currently paid SH1, 455 more than they were in SH92, 496 (ks91, 041).
The pay rise for grade D3 teachers is sh1, 399, taking their income from sh104, 644 to sh106, 043.
The minimum pay for workers in C3 has finally increased, going from SH43, 154 to SH45, 671.
